• More than 50% of the regulatory proposal undergoing RIA process incomplete, • Increase in competency will leads to increase in regulatory compliance, • Strengthening regulatory authorities in monitoring the status of RIA projects, • Performance of regulatory reform is important to be evaluated • Is the regulatory policy been implemented effectively, • To what extent measures have been taken to assure compliance and enforcement , • Planning is crucial, poor planning can affect the rule making process not to be done effectively, • Lack of planning can lead to failure in getting valuable inputs from stakeholders due to short notice, • Improves transparency and accountability, • Improves regulatory compliance, • Increases trust in government and RIA 10

1. Designate Regulatory Coordinators 2. Set up RIA Task Force and mandate the members. Experts seconded to the Task Force for consultation and advice. 3. Monitoring progress against the project plan and organize periodic meetings with MPC 7. Sharing knowledge with peers of RIA processes and approaches in order to raise interest and awareness of RIA among ministries, agencies and stakeholders 10. Document lessons learned throughout the development of the RIA, and provide any relevant recommendation in relation to the RIA system and Handbook.
