ABOUT THE EDITORS Abstract Maxcy Bonnie C. Fusarelli is an associate professor in the Department of (/faculty/pje/pje_volume_86_issue_3_2011/abstract_maxcy.php) Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at North Carolina State University. Her research focuses on educational leadership and policy, Abstract Mcdonnell and the politics of school improvement, educational equity, and Weatherford organizational change, with a particular focus on state-level education (/faculty/pje/pje_volume_86_issue_3_2011/abstract_mcdonnell_and_weatherford.php) reform. Her work examines school leadership on three levels: the building level, (school principals and effective models of leadership Abstract Picus and Odden preparation), the district level (superintendents and the preparation of (/faculty/pje/pje_volume_86_issue_3_2011/abstract_picus_and_odden.php) superintendents in both traditional and non-traditional ways), and the state level. Dr. Fusarelli is a 2008 inductee into NC State's Academy of Abstract Young Outstanding Teachers. Dr. Fusarelli is the director of NC State's (/faculty/pje/pje_volume_86_issue_3_2011/abstract_young.php) Northeast Leadership Academy, a Race to the Top-funded initiative to prepare innovative school leaders for rural schools. Fusarelli Tamara V. Her research focuses on the influence of governance institutions, political ideologies, and competing interests on the educational policy process and outcomes.
