Strategic Leadership Changes at Google to Accelerate AI Development
CEO Sundar Pichai revealed in a recent blog post that Prabhakar Raghavan, who has been at the helm of the company’s search and advertising divisions, will transition to the role of chief technologist. This change marks the culmination of Raghavan's 12-year journey leading various teams within the search organization.
In his new capacity, Raghavan will work closely with Pichai and other key leaders to provide technical guidance and foster a culture of technological excellence within the company. Pichai emphasized Raghavan's desire to pursue new challenges, stating, "Prabhakar has decided it’s time to make a big leap in his own career."
Nick Fox, a seasoned Google executive with the company since 2003, will step into Raghavan’s previous role. Fox has been a pivotal member of Raghavan’s leadership team and has contributed significantly to the development of Google's AI product strategy. Before this transition, he served as vice president of product and design for Google Assistant.
