Jackson H. Clark CHINLE — Funeral services for Jackson H. Clark, 55, of Blackrock, Arizona, were held March 13 at the Chinle Potters House with Pastor Artie Aragon officiating. Interment followed at the Del Muerto community cemetery in Del Muerto, Arizona. Jackson was born Nov. 9, 1962, in Winslow, Arizona, into the Ma’ii deeshgiizhinii (Coyote Pass Clan), born for Tó’aheedlíinii (Water Flow Together Clan). He died March 8, 2018, in Taylor, Arizona. Jackson graduated from Chinle High School and attended Bryman School in Phoenix and Mesa, and Diné College, graduating from Western School of Horseshoeing in Phoenix and Whiteriver, Arizona, in the medical fields. Jackson worked at Chinle Dialysis, Chinle Hospital and Diné College in Tsaile, Arizona. He was also employed as a veterinary assistant, construction and certified professional farrier.
Jackson was a multi-talented person and blacksmith who enjoyed making bull ropes and leather crafts, playing the harmonica, welding and participating in rodeo clubs. Jackson is survived by his companion, Sandy Hook; sons, Brandon Clark of El Paso, Texas, Gjermundson Clark of Sanders, Arizona, Cole Clark of Chinle, and Bryson Clark of Chinle; daughter, Mariah Clark of Whiteriver; and four sisters, four brothers and one grandchild. Jackson is preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Zonnie Clark; sisters, Emma Begay and Margaret Clark; and brothers, Larry Clark, Chester Clark, Albert Clark and Cecil Clark. Honorary pallbearers were Leonard Teller, James Clark, Henderson Tsosie, Bryson Clark, Cole Clark and Scott Mackenzie.

GALLUP — Funeral services for Tommy Long Jr., 47, will be held today, March 15, at 10 a.m. at Rollie Mortuary in Gallup. Burial will follow at the Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Gallup.

Tommy was born Aug. 5, 1970, in Gallup, into the Tó’aheedlíinii (Water Flow Together Clan), born for Tl’ógí (Weaver-Zia Clan). His nali is Tódích’ii’nii (Bitter Water); chei is Honágháahnii (One-walks-around Clan). He died March 8, 2018, in Gallup.

SHONTO, Ariz. — Funeral services for Zonnie Bahe Barlow, 93, of Shonto, Arizona, were held March 10 at the Assembly of God Church in Shonto. Interment followed at the Shonto community cemetery.

Zonnie was born Jan. 16, 1925, in Big Mountain, Arizona. She passed from this life March 5, 2018, in Tuba City.

GALLUP — Funeral services for Neilwood Chee, 77, were held March 8 at Rollie Mortuary in Gallup. Interment followed at the Gallup City Cemetery. Neilwood was born in Twin Lakes, New Mexico, into the Tábaahá (Water’s Edge Clan), born for Naakai dine’é (Mexican Clan). His nali is Tódích’ii’nii (Bitter Water); chei is Táchii’nii (Red Running Into the Water People). He died March 2, 2018, in Twin Lakes. Neilwood attended Twin Lakes School and Intermountain School in Riverside, California, and Chilocco, Oklahoma. He was a welder, silversmith and sheepherder. He liked to walk, read the newspaper, draw, chop wood, wood carve, spend time with his family and his favorite team was the Denver Broncos. Neilwood is survived by his sons, Jeffery Chee, Mack Hannig and Emmanuel Chee, all of Albuquerque, and Brandail Begay of Ireland; daughters, Rebecca Alvardo of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Laverne Begay of Santa Fe; brother, Herman Chee; and sister, Annie Chee. Neilwood is preceded in death by his wife, Rose Begay; parents, Norris and Alice Chee; brother, Larry Chee; and sisters, Elsie Claude and Katherine Chee. Pallbearers were Larry Tsosie Jr., Brian Lee, Benson Lee Jr., Vinson Lee, Mack Hannig and Emmanuel Chee.
