Sharing infographics on Pinterest and Instagram makes sense, given that these platforms are specifically designed for sharing visual content. For these networks, you can simply pin or upload your infographics and they’ll easily be visible to your intended audience. But if you want to truly maximize their exposure, or if you want to share them on other social media networks, you’ll need a more detailed promotion strategy. Remember that infographics are proven to be three times more likely to be shared and liked in other social media networks, including Facebook, Twitter, and Google+. Readers will also be 323% better in the following information if they’re presented with visual elements. To leverage these encouraging engagement figures, below are the top known crucial steps you need in your strategy:
1. Observe Conversation Trends to Find Infographic Ideas The process of creating an infographic is a costly affair. Before you finalize the design, you must perform extensive research, fact-check, write the copy, proofread, and determine the infographic type that’s best suited for the information. But first of all, you must have a topic idea in mind that is guaranteed to get your target audience’s attention. It should be easy to spot ongoing trends in your niche using populous social media networks. Spend a few minutes browsing your news feed to look for new content that’s generating engagement. Of course, you shouldn’t straight up copy everything – just use the piece for inspiration and try to form your own views on the topic. A faster way to look for trending ideas is to use a content research tool like BuzzSumo. Simply type in a keyword or a domain name and click Go:
The tool will then scrape the most popular content on the web based on your keywords. Feel free to play around the filters to the left to narrow down your search:
Most, if not all, topics you can find can through BuzzSumo can be presented using an infographic. The moment you read the headline, you should be able to visualize what the infographic will look like. But if you’re unsure of what to do, you can list down all usable topic ideas, create brief outlines, and select the best one that can be translated into infographic form. A word of advice, while creating infographics based on evergreen content is useful for the long-term, you should still try to align the information based on current trends to help it gain momentum. It should be easy to incorporate evergreen statistics, facts, and other useful information while still following the theme of popular trends.
2. Optimize Your Infographic for Searchable Keywords Keywords are still important when creating and promoting infographics. Bear in mind that they impact the searchability of any content – not only in search engines but also in social media networks. You can start by using a keyword research tool like Google Adwords Keyword Planner. Simply log in using your Google account, input a key phrase that describes your niche, and use the filters to refine your search:
To optimize your infographic for a certain keyword, focus on the text content that accompanies it. After all, an infographic shouldn’t stand on its own. Try to provide additional information, actionable steps, as well as resources that will help your audience utilize what they learn. According to Yoast, the ideal keyword density for written content is between 0.5% and 2.5%. If you’re using

Click the camera icon from Google’s main search page and paste the infographic’s URL or upload a copy from your computer:
After the search completes, you’ll be presented with a list of websites and blogs who shared the infographic. All you need to do now is to convince the influencer that your infographic is better than the previous one.
Conclusion Infographics are perfect for capturing the audience’s attention and condensing information into a visually appealing form. Undoubtedly, they can be the most important assets you need to create standout content in this competitive marketing era. You just need to observe the best practices that will enable you to push your infographics to the right audience.

Thanks for the advices. One question for you: if you are not the original source of the data behind the Inforgraphic, how do you do a press release? I would just be the one creating the graphic to represent the data. Or do you do that only if you do primary research? Reply
