Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan. In a medium bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside. In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract. Gradually mix in the flour mixture alternately with buttermilk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Fold in the dried fruits and chopped nuts until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
