What does Fidato mean anyway?
John Rapchinski, Founding Partner and Chief Executive Officer (http://www.linkedin.com/pub/john-rapchinski/0/175/451)
Fi-dat-o, (degno di fiducia) trustworthy, reliable, loyal Where did the name come from? We were banging our heads together for weeks on a name; and after realizing that every URL under the sun was taken we put it on the backburner. About a week later, we were meeting at our favorite Italian restaurant to celebrate the start of our yet un-named company when one of the partners excused himself to go to the restroom. On his walk to the lavatory he came upon the Fidato Conference room, which he thought was an un-common and somewhat intriguing name. When he got back to the table he mentioned the name to the other partners, and they were equally intrigued. At that point we looked up the name and realized that it meant Trustworthy, Reliable and Loyal in Italian, all characteristics we had discussed as the core values of our business, and an integral part of building a successful Professional Services firm.
