A woman’s risk of developing breast cancer has increased from one-nine to one-eighth. Thus, the results of research conducted Cancer Research UK, a Cancer Foundation in the UK as quoted from the BBC News website. The figures released by Cancer Research UK show that there is an increase of 3.5% of women with breast cancer in the last 10 years. Meanwhile, women between the ages of 50 and 69 are in the category with the highest percentage increase, at 6%. According to the research in India, every four minutes an Indian woman is diagnosed with breast cancer. One woman dies of carcinoma, every 13 minutes in India. The British Cancer Foundation also shows that breast cancer is the most common cancer in women. 1/3 cases of cancer in women are breast cancer. The second-highest number is colon cancer and lung cancer. Nearly half of cases of breast cancer in 2008 (48%) were in women between the ages of 50 and 69. A third suffered by women over the age of 70, and 19% in women aged 25-49. Why does it happen and how to prevent breast cancer as early as possible? HEALTHY LIFESTYLE Research conducted earlier by the World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) shows that lifestyle factors and family history increase a woman’s risk of breast cancer. Breast cancer is a threat to women smokers especially when the woman has entered the age of 50 years. Exercising and eating healthy can reduce risk. “Stay distant from alcohol or reduce it to the tiniest dose, do proper exercise and eat always good fibre content diet so that low in saturated fat can help to stay the load that ultimately reduces the danger of breast cancer,” said Sara Hiom Director of Health Information at Cancer Research UK The World Cancer Research Fund also points out that making a simple lifestyle change can prevent about 79,000 cases in all types of cancer in the UK every year. In the case of breast cancer, it can be reduced by up to 42%.
Obesity is most likely to increase your risk of getting cancer because obesity can increase levels of the hormones estrogen and insulin in the body. High levels of this hormone are produced by fat tissue, the main cause of cancer. Excess body fat can affect the body processing fat and sugar and reduce the functioning of the immune system. Nearly two out of each three women with carcinoma can survive for quite 20 years and quite three-quarters of girls with carcinoma survive for a minimum of 10 years because it improves lifestyle to be healthier. For more regarding this, consult the best oncologist specialist hospital for individual advice. Sara Hiom urges women to do breast cancer testing as early as possible. Mammograms can get know a carcinoma early even very before symptoms quite lump are often felt from woman’s physical. By knowing early on, treatment can be more easily done, “said Sara Hiom.
