Tailoring training DAF has partnered with local tailoring experts to offer structured tailoring courses to women. The courses include tailoring, stitching, embroidery, and basic fabric handling and include hands-on training. Many women had never worked before, but with this community-based setting, they were able to learn in just months and started creating garments ranging from small frocks to designer blouses. 2. Sewing machines for ownership Each women is awarded a brand-new sewing machine as their passport to independence. Enabled the women of Aarey, Dahisar and Plaghar areas to start home-based tailoring units. 3. Stipend for stability WOW also includes a basic monthly stipend for participants to help the women focus on just learning and production without having to abandon program because of work commitments or lack of funds.
