Gary Lucy is the On-Site Owner of The Goddard School in Fredericksburg, VA. Gary holds a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Virginia Commonwealth University, and has 20+ years of business and educational experience. As a father of two boys, whom have already graduated from a Goddard School, Gary recognizes the importance of providing a consistent and strong curriculum in a safe and nurturing environment. He is very excited to be part of The Goddard School and is committed to providing the highest quality preschool experience for children in the community. Gary looks forward to introducing you to our incredible faculty, and showing you around our state-of –the-art facility!
Dianna Irving is our Educational Director. She has worked in the Education Field for over 25 years. Ms. Dianna has a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Masters Degree in Education with a Specialization in Culturally Responsive Education.
Debbie Ervin has been with the school since it opened and is currently the Lead Teacher in our Infant classroom. She holds a Child Development Associates (CDA) credential and is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Ms. Debbie has worked in the Early Childhood Education Field for twenty years. She has worked in the Spotsylvania County School System as a Special Education Paraprofessional and as a substitute teacher and also has experience teaching in autism programs. Ms. Debbie is furthering her career by attending Goddard School workshop trainings.
Maribel McVey is the Lead Teacher in our First Steps classroom. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Education in 2002. Ms. Maribel has been working in the Early Childcare Field since 2003. It's her continued passion to teach and watch her children grow and learn.
Tiffany Long is the Lead Teacher in our Pre-Toddler classroom. She is the second oldest out of six children. Ms. Tiffany has been working in the child care field since 2012. Over these years the children have taught her a lot and she enjoys learning new and fun things from the children every day.
Shelbi Viruet is the Lead Teacher in our Toddler classroom. She has her Associate Degree in Early Childhood Development and plans to pursue her Bachelor's Degree in Education. Ms. Shelbi has worked in the education field at Goddard for one year. Prior to that she has worked at American Family Fitness with children and continues to work there now. Ms. Shelbi's passion has always been working with children. She believes that early education is important for each child to reach their full potential.
Stacy Herrera is the Lead Teacher in our Get Set classroom. She was born in California to a military family and raised in Fredericksburg. Ms. Stacy is a graduate of Chancellor High School and is pursuing a CDA and a degree in Early Childhood Development. She loves shaping young minds to be the best they can be. Ms. Stacy looks forward to being a part of your young child's development.
Lauren Jones is a Lead Teacher in our Preschool 1 classroom. She earned her Associate Degree in Arts and Sciences in May 2016 and is currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Human Services from Old Dominion University. Ms. Lauren has worked as a Lead Teacher in Early Childhood Development for a year and a half. She enjoys providing a safe and nurturing environment for children.
Connie Lee is the lead teacher for our Preschool 2 class. She has four and a half years of experience in Early Childhood Education. Ms. Connie holds a Bachelor's Degree in Social Science. She is married with two children. She enjoys family, museums, and day trips. Ms. Connie strives to help children explore their environment, learn social and academic skills, and reach their full potential for success in school.
Sara Martinez Luna is the Lead Teacher in our Pre-K classroom. She is from Spain originally and came to the U.S. four years ago as an Au Pair. Ms. Sara has a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education with a specialization in Foreign Language Instruction. She has decided to stay in the U.S. to achieve her dream of being a teacher. Ms. Sara loves traveling, arts and crafts, and spending time with children.
Elizabeth Weakley has been the Lead Teacher in our Pre-K 2 classroom since the school opened. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from George Mason University and is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Elementary Education. Ms. Liz has been working in the Early Childhood Field since 2008 and believes that children learn the most when they are engaged and having fun.
Sandi Brann is an Assistant Teacher in our First Steps classroom. She is the mother of one son and proud grandmother of four. Ms. Sandi was born and raised in Richmond, VA and has lived in Spotsylvania County for the past ten and a half years. She has been in child care for more than twenty years and just loves watching children learn and grow!
Amber Winston is an Assistant Teacher in our Pre-Toddler classroom. She is from Chester, VA and is currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Childhood Education through Coastal Carolina University. Ms. Amber is an active member of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority and is a March of Dimes representative through that organization.
Emily Kulikowski is an Assistant Teacher in our Toddler classroom. She has worked in childcare for five years. Ms. Emily is currently enrolled in Germanna Community College and is pursuing a degree in Physical Therapy. Ms. Emily believes that all children are unique and have something special about them. She wants to help her students to embrace themselves and the differences of others around them.
Imani Jones is an Assistant Teacher in our Get Set classroom. She has been working in the Education Field for one year. Ms. Imani holds a Bachelor's Degree in Theater from Bard College. She is passionate about helping young minds to grow and learn in a nurturing environment. In her free time she enjoys watching movies and reading plays. Ms. Imani hopes to bring her love for theater into the classroom by creating exciting activities that both entertain the students and also encourage them to engage in their surroundings.
Lasheuna Collington is an Assistant Teacher in our Preschool 1 classroom. She believes a good teacher can inspire and instill a love of learning. Ms. Lasheuna is going to school for Education and has worked with children for a year. She hopes to teach abroad one day.
Kaylah Wheeler is an Assistant Teacher in our Preschool 2 classroom. She is a graduate of Mountain View High School where she also obtained her cosmetology license. She has been working in the child care field for 2.5 years and she enjoys helping others. Ms. Kaylah is very hardworking and dedicated to making sure our children at Goddard learn and have a great day. Her goal at the school is to help our students grow and learn to their fullest potential.
Zachary Cooper is an Assistant Teacher in our Pre-K 1 classroom. He has been at the Goddard School for just over a year and worked previously with children through volunteering at his local Little League as well as at his church. Mr. Zach is currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration from Germanna Community College and plans to finish in the summer of 2018. From there he plans to attend VCU to achieve his CPA certification as well as an MBA. Working at Goddard has not only allowed Mr. Zach to help and watch children grow, but to see himself grow and develop as well.
Alexiss Large is an Assistant Teacher in our Pre-K 2 classroom. She graduated from Massaponax High School in 2016 and will be pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education from Germanna Community College. Ms. Alexiss has been volunteering at Elementary Schools for five years and has worked with preschool children for four years.
Kathy Woodgett joined the Goddard School in 2016 as an Assistant / Resource Teacher. She has a warm heart and a big smile and enjoys taking care of children. Ms. Kathy has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and is a retired civil servant from state government with over twenty years of service. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and taking care of her granddaughter. Ms. Kathy's hobbies include dancing, cooking family dinners and watching sporting events.
Reva Brown is one of our Resource Teachers, getting lunches and snacks for the children. She is from Tulsa, Oklahoma and moved to Fredericksburg by way of the military. Ms. Reva has two children and seven grandchildren. She concentrated on Business Administration in college and has worked with the development of children for 15 years. Ms. Reva enjoys sewing, crocheting, and reading.
