To: All Staff and students From: Information Technology Unit Date: 5 Nov 2015 Files Synchronization Issue by Using OneDrive for Business Client There are some users reported that files cannot be synchronized to OneDrive for Business by using the OneDrive for Business Client from their PC after 13 Oct 2015 and kept prompting for entering credentials (i.e. username and password). According to the findings from Microsoft, this issue is due to after installed the Office 2013 (KB3085566) update on 13 Oct 2015 if the “Office 2013 Click-to-Run version” from Office 365 was installed. User is advised to take one of the following solutions to fix this issue.

1. Download the hotfix (KB2986219) from Microsoft at https://support.microsoft.com/enus/kb/2986219 2. Uninstall the update manually. Windows 10 1. Go to Start, enter View Installed Updates in the Search Windows box, and then press Enter. 2. In the list of updates, locate and then select update KB3085566, and then select Uninstall. Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search. If you're using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, and then select Search. 2. Enter windows update, select Windows Update, and then select Installed Updates. 3. In the list of updates, locate and then select update KB3085566, and then select Uninstall. Windows 7 1. Go to Start, enter Run, and then select Run. 2. Enter Appwiz.cpl, and then select OK. 3. Select View installed updates. 4. In the list of updates, locate and then select update KB3085566, and then select Uninstall.
