Role in Welding Performance • Powerful Deoxidizer for Clean Welds: Ferro titanium reacts readily with oxygen, nitrogen and sulfur, pulling them out of the weld pool. The result is cleaner weld metal with higher strength.
• Arc Stabilizer in Electrode Coatings: As a key ingredient in electrode coatings, FeTi helps keep the arc smooth and steady. This gives welders better control and more consistent weld quality. • Improved Toughness and Corrosion Resistance: FeTi additions improve weld metal toughness and its resistance to corrosion. This is important for stainless steel and carbon steel welds in demanding service.
Grades, Quality and Supply • Six Grades from 25% to 75% Titanium: Grades A to F run from 70-75% Ti down to 25-30% Ti. This lets electrode manufacturers match the alloy to their formulation and cost targets. • Tightly Controlled Impurity Levels: Carbon is capped at 0.20% (0.10% in lower grades), and sulfur and phosphorus at 0.05% maximum. These limits keep weld chemistry clean and consistent from batch to batch. • Low-Residue, Low-Melting Alloy from a Trusted Indian Source: The 60-75% Ti grades are low-residue, low-melting alloys suited to the steel and welding industries. Jayesh supplies them from India as a dedicated manufacturer and supplier.
