Merit Badge Details Before beginning any Merit Badge Activity a Scout must first obtain a “Blue Merit Badge Card” from the Scout Master and contact the designated Counselor for the Merit Badge that they intend to work on. Many of the requirements for obtaining a Merit Badge maybe done under the guidance of a parent, guardian or someone with specialized knowledge regarding a specific Merit Badge area of interest. In this situation, the Scout should be prepared to demonstrate the knowledge or skills that they gained by submitting a completed Merit Badge Worksheet to either the Scout Master or a designated Merit Badge Counselor for review. Scouts will find all of the resources need to begin a Merit Badge activity on this site, this includes, Pamphlets, Worksheets, Counselor contact information and addition web related information. Please report any broken links or questions to Richard Odekirk. There are over 130 Merit Badges offered by the Boy Scouts of America which offer Scouts the opportunity to learn life skills and develop interests in many areas. If you would like to become a Merit Badge Counselor for Troop 220 please contact the Scout Master and complete an Counselor Application
American Business Best if done AFTER or ALONG WITH the Entrepreneurship Merit Badge as it does require running a business for 3 months and the Entrepreneurship Merit Badge requires a component of determining how to start and run a business.

Scouts will find earning the First Aid Merit Badge easier if they already completed and know the First Aid requirements from the Tenderfoot, Second Class, and First Class ranks. While not required to have completed these ranks in order to work on the First Aid Merit Badge, this is definitely a good merit badge to start with as several other merit badges require aspects found in completing this merit badge.
