STEP 2 – Online Orientation One-time orientation designed to help familiarize students with the tools needed to succeed and to help facilitate their transition and integration into the college learning environment. Students will:
Learn what it means to be a college student
Be more familiar with the academic resources
Feel more comfortable with campus processes
Learn more about campus life outside of class
Feel more confident about their transition to College of the Canyons
STEP 3 – Submit a College NOW! Form
Work with your counselor to select approved degree-applicable courses
List course and alternative course(s) plan to enroll in List multiple courses on the form. If a course is not listed on the form, you will be blocked from enrolling. Enrollment is limited to 11 units per semester
Gather signatures: student, guardian, high school counselor and principal Sign the Authorization to Consent to Medical Treatment (backside of form)
Submit College Now! Form to Admission & Records Office Registration date and time will be issued

HOW STUDENTS BUILD SUCCESS
Choose the right class and be prepared to work
Summer sessions are accelerated- 16 weeks of curriculum covered in 5 or 8 weeks
Expect to meet 3 days a week, MTW or TWTh, for average 3.5 hours a day
Have good time management
Students are expected to study 2-3 hours for every hour in class per week Example: Summer
term 3 unit course will meet approximately 10.5 hours a week
