Assistant Professor of Art (Digital Media and Photography) position Posting Date: November 27, 2017 Brevard College seeks an enthusiastic teacher and active artist for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Art position. This position requires an MFA from an accredited institution and demonstrated success in the college studio setting. The successful candidate should be well versed in the theory and contemporary practice of Digital Media design and Photography as both fine art and applied disciplines. Teaching duties will include courses in Digital Media and Photography as well as the General Education Curriculum. The standard teaching load is 24 semester hours per year. Participation in the art profession and engagement in College service through student advising, committee work and other forms of leadership are also required. The Brevard College Art program is a part of the Division of Fine Arts, which includes Art, Music, and Theatre. Brevard College, founded in 1853, is a residential liberal arts college. Situated in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Brevard College is located 33 miles southwest of Asheville, North Carolina.
