Patrick Wenzel (Head Coach)
[email protected] 412-848-7886 Most of his swimming career, he competed for the Michiana Marlins in South Bend, Indiana. In Indiana, Patrick won a state championship in the 500 freestyle as a high school sophomore. In two years at North Allegheny and ANSC, Patrick won the state championship in the 500 freestyle and led the Tigers’ Men’s Team to a championship in 1994. He held the school record in the 500 freestyle at North Allegheny until 2008 when it was broken by one of his own swimmers, and is still part of a record-holding relay team. Patrick continued his education and swimming career at Ohio State University (OSU) where he set three OSU records in his freshman year. Patrick was named team captain during his junior season, and won the Steve Skilliken Spirit of Giving Award. Every year of his college career, he earned Academic All-Big Ten honors. In 1996, Patrick qualified for the Olympic Trials. He was ranked in the Top 16 and was ranked 51st in the world for the 1500 meter freestyle. He began his coaching career developing athletes at swim camps at OSU and the University of Michigan. During the summer of 2003, Patrick coached the senior group for ANSC, and has been an assistant for North Allegheny High School Tigers Swim Team. Patrick holds Level 2 certification from ASCA. He has been an AMS Eastern Zone Team coach for the last two years. Patrick was inducted into the North Allegheny Hall of Fame in 2006. During 2008, Patrick coached two swimmers who qualified for Junior National Championships in Minneapolis and who qualified for Short Course Senior Nationals in December 2008 in Atlanta. Five ANSC swimmers qualified for individual events at Junior National Championships in Seattle in August 2009 plus two men's relays. He is married to Summer, and they have a son, Cayden and a baby girl, Macey Rose.
Kirk "Corky" Semler (Age Group Coach) Kirk Semler ("Corky") began his swimming career in the Eastgate Swimming Pool in the early 1960s. He then joined Greater Pittsburgh Swim Club and trained under coaching legend, Dick Bower. In 1970, while swimming for Gateway High School, he was on a 200 medley relay with a state record time and top 5 national finish.

At Kent State University, Corky earned all MAC conference honors with an NCAA Division I qualifying berth his senior year. In 1978 Corky began teaching and coaching swimming at North Allegheny. Over his career of 35 years, NA's record combined girls and boys teams record was 632-83-6. He coached 61 section, 26 WPIAL championships, 16 WPIAL runner-up, 9 PIAA titles and 7 PIAA runner-up. Corky is a member of the Gateway High School Hall of Fame; the Pennsylvania Hall of Fame, (East Boro's Chapter) and the North Allegheny Hall of Fame.

412-335-8091 Shannon began swimming for ANSC at the age of 8. Shannon was the Pennsylvania state champion in the 200 freestyle as a sophomore and junior in high school and was part of two state championship teams. During high school, Shannon qualified for the Junior National Championships in six events (100 & 500 Free, 200 & 400 IM, 100 & 200 Fly) and Senior National Championships in one event (200 Free). She was a four year All American. Shannon held the school record in the 200 freestyle and the pool record in the 500 freestyle for over 20 years at NA. She was inducted into the NA Hall of Fame in 2005. Shannon continued her education and swimming career at Michigan State University. She was a four year letter winner and three time Academic All American. Shannon broke the 200 freestyle and 400 Individual Medley school records and was a part of the record breaking 400 Medley Relay team while at MSU. Shannon began her coaching career at Ingomar North Swim Club while in high school and college. After college, she got married and lived in Germany with her husband, Tony, while he served in the US Army. While in Germany, she coached an age group team of military children. After returning to the US, Shannon was the head coach of Huron High School swim team in Ohio for three years. In 2005 Shannon returned to North Allegheny and helped with the HS team for a few years. Now that Shannon's kids have started to show an interest in swimming, she has made a full circle back to ANSC.
Brittany Glass (Age Group Coach) Brittany began swimming with ANSC at age 5. She continued swimming for the club and became a member of the North Allegheny Tigers where she was an All-American, WPIAL and PIAA qualifier, and a member of a state championship team. She finished her career at Westminster College where she was an NCAA qualifier, Academic AllAmerican, Varsity Record Holder, Team Captain, and a Marge Walker Award Recipient. Brittany is entering her sixth year of coaching, and looks forward to working with athletes from ANSC. Brittany works at North Allegheny and is married to Brian.
Stacie Sloan (Age Group Coach) Stacie began swimming with ANSC at the age of 5, and continued with the club until she became a member of the North Allegheny Tigers. She was a part of the 1997 WPIAL and State championship team. She also became an All-American as well as being a part of a pool relay record. Stacie has been coaching for ANSC since May 2005.
Stephanie Graham (Age Group Coach) Stephanie began swimming for ANSC at age 12. She continued her swimming career at North Allegheny where she was a four year WPIAL qualifier; three year state qualifier; two year All-American and a key member of three WPIAL championship teams (2008, 2009, 2010). She swam for Gannon University where she was a four year PSAC qualifier. She has coached Shannopin Country Club’s team for three years. She graduated from Gannon in 2014 with a degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. Stephanie is excited and honored to be home at ANSC coaching our swimmers!.
Beth Mock (Age Group Coach) Beth Mock swam six years on her varsity high school team in Massena, New York. She held the pool and school records in the 100 backstroke and 200 individual medley for many years. She held the section league record in both of those events as well. She was a strong representative at the NY State championships for four years in the backstroke and the individual medley and two years in the medley relay. She served as captain her junior and senior years and she was the team MVP her senior year. Beth Mock continued her swimming career at William Smith College where she led her team in points her freshman year. She was a NYSWCAA state finalist in the 100 backstroke and was part of a record breaking 800 freestyle relay team while at WS. In 2009, Beth was inducted into the Massena Hall of Fame. Beth Mock was the assistant coach for the Massena, New York Varsity high school team in 2007 and 2008 and became the head coach in 2009. She coached her hometown team for five years with three undefeated seasons until her family was relocated to Pittsburgh. She continued coaching for two years at the Baierl YMCA and is now very happy to be part of the ANSC coaching staff. Beth is married to David and has two children, Ryan and Allie.
Jordan Langue Jordan swam as a member of the Fox Chapel Foxes where he was a Team Captain and WPIAL medalist. Jordan has coached with the following clubs: Big Cat Aquatic Club/Nittany Lion Aquatics (2003-2007), Penn State University (2006-2007), Jewish Community Center Sailfish (2009-2011), Hershey Aquatic Club and Hershey High School (2011-2014). Jordan is a teacher at North Allegheny Senior HS and has coached ANSC and the North Allegheny Tigers since 2015.
