OPEN POSITIONS WATER RECLAMATION AND REUSE FACILITY APPRENTICE, JOURNEYMAN OR SENIOR OPERATOR The City of Moscow is looking for a highly motivated, positive person to join the Public Works Department as a WRRF Apprentice, Journeyman, or Senior Operator. Apprentice candidates must possess or be able to obtain a Class B commercial driver’s license within one year of hire. Also for an Apprentice, having an Idaho Class I Wastewater Operator License is desirable and must obtain an Idaho Level I Wastewater Operator License within one year. Starting pay is $17.80 per hour. A Journeyman Operator requires a minimum of an Idaho Level I or Level II Wastewater Operator Certification. WATER DEPARTMENT SEASONAL MAINTENANCE POSITIONS The City of Moscow Water Department is seeking team-oriented individuals to fill two seasonal positions in the Distribution Division of the City’s Water Department. Essential job functions in the Water Department include assisting with the installations of new water services and the maintenance of existing water mains, services, hydrants, and meters as assigned. Functions may also include painting, lawn maintenance and landscaping. Successful candidates will have knowledge of basic construction, maintenance, and repair methods and equipment as well as basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills. PARKS & FACILITIES SEASONAL MAINTENANCE POSITIONS HORTICULTURE SPECIALIST & HORTICULTURE ASSISTANT Primary duties include performing various weed control, gardening, and grounds maintenance duties in city parks, facilities, and grounds. The Specialist position starts March and goes through October. Normal working hours are 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Aquatics Manager The City of Moscow is seeking an energetic team player to work under the direction of the Youth Recreation Program and Aquatic Supervisor. This full-time temporary seasonal position will supervise other full-time and part-time temporary pool staff and will be responsible for the day to day operations of the Hamilton-Lowe Aquatic Center. The successful candidate will work well with groups and in a team setting, supervise multiple staff and evaluate lifeguards, recommend modifications; problem solve and safeguard the lives of individuals in the entire enclosed pool area and prevent accident through knowledge of lifesaving, proper use of equipment and awareness of responsibility. LIFEGUARD – SWIM LESSON INSTRUCTOR – CONCESSIONAIRE The City of Moscow Parks & Recreation Department is seeking highly motivated, responsible and capable individuals to fill summer 2018 lifeguard, swim lesson instructor and concessionaire positions at the Hamilton-Lowe Aquatic Center. Wages for Lifeguards begin at $9.50 per hour, wages for Swim Lesson Instructors begin at $10.00 per hour, and wages for Concessionaires begin at $8.25 per hour. HIRC - FACILITY ATTENDANT The City of Moscow is accepting applications for the Hamilton Indoor Recreation Center Facility Attendants on a continuous basis. (Open positions become available on a sporadic basis and need to be filled quickly.) Currently, we are looking for individuals who will be available to work year-round (including the summer months). The Hamilton Indoor Recreation Center Facility Attendant will perform the following duties: facility supervision, computer registration, cleaning, and customer service. Typing Certificates Most clerical positions require verification of the applicant’s typing ability. When returning the application form, the applicant must submit original written documentation of being able to type the minimum speed required. This documentation must contain the following: The name of the applicant; The date the typing skills test was administered; The duration of the typing skills test (5 minutes minimum); The gross words typed per minute; The number of errors made; and The name and telephone number of the organization/agency and signature of the person administering the test. The typing verification should be an original and documentation must have been obtained within one year prior to the application deadline. This typing verification documentation must be from an accredited business college, educational institution, public agency, professional service or business concern which routinely provides typing verification documentation in their normal course of business.
