CALLING ALL PRESENT & FUTURE WOOD BADGERS!
It’s coming and you don't want to miss it --- put SATURDAY, JANUARY 8, 2011 on your calendar and be at the WOOD BADGE BREAKFAST. This is a great gathering for all Wood Badgers and those wanting to learn more about this awesome training experience. Everyone is welcome --- even if you have not yet been to Wood Badge, we want you to attend this breakfast. With our own PAC Wood Badge course scheduled this spring, we are asking each Wood Badger to bring a prospective participant with them as our guest so that we can invite them to be a part of C3-651-11-1. Release your inner critter (they have been known to show up at past breakfasts as table decorations, hats, T-shirts, walking sticks, etc. --- is there any critter pride out there?) and bring your best singing voice! Click here for full details and registration form… get signed up now! Back to Gilwell . . .
2011 CAMP LONG LAKE
As we approach the end of 2010, the preparations for 2011 summer camp season at Camp Long Lake are in full swing. The summer camp staff leadership will be holding interviews for summer camp employment at CLL for the 2011 season in January. Any Scouts 15 or older who desire to work at Camp need to fill out an application and return it to the Council office. Scouts can find applications on the CLL website on the Staff Applicationpage. Interviews will be conducted on two Saturdays in January (dates to be announced later) at the Council office. If there are any Scouts who are 14 years of age and interested in future employment at CLL, and want to see what it is like can apply to be a Counselor in Training. The applications are located on the Staff Application page as well. CIT's do not need interviews though. If anyone has questions about working at Camp Long Lake, please contact Brad Singer, Camp Director, at
[email protected].
