Adding a Live Guide chat button to your SharePoint site This document describes how you can add a chat button that you implemented in Live Guide to your Microsoft SharePoint site. You can add a chat button to a single page or you can choose to add it to a master page to make the chat button available on all pages based on the master page.

1 Add a chat button to a page 1. On your SharePoint site, click Edit Page. 2. On the Insert tab, click Web Part. 3. Under Categories, select Forms and under Web Parts select HTML Form Web Part.
4. Under Add Web part to: select where the web part should be located and click the Add button to add the new web part. 5. In the new web part menu, click Edit Web Part.
6. In the edit panel, click Source Editor.
7. In the editor, replace the existing code with the code from the Live Guide Code builder page:

When you click Save the text editor closes and you can see the chat button on your SharePoint page:
2 Add a chat button to a master page Adding a chat button to a master page is done in much the same way, except that SharePoint Designer is used. In SharePoint Designer you go to the master pages and locate the one where you want to add the chat button. Then you select Show Code View, add the live Guide code to the desired location and click Save.
