QUALIFICATIONS Required Master's Degree in psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy or other related field 1+ Years' experience providing individual, family, or group therapeutic interventions 1+ Year's experience providing training on childhood risk behaviors and conducting mental health screenings and assessments Must have their own car Mental Health Practitioner or license eligible, depending on experience. Preferred but not required Mental Health Professional (LICSW, LMFT, LP, LPCC) Experience working in a school setting 1+ Years' experience working with students identified as having significant mental health issues, preferably in an EBD setting Experience working with high school age children Ability to work evening hours Ability to collaborate and work in a team Proven ability to conduct a diagnostic assessment and complete write up Ability to do treatment planning and reviews

As a Co-Located Therapist, you will work as part of a team within the Vision program, providing mental health therapeutic support and skills development of students enrolled in the program at Kennedy High School. You will maintain a caseload at the high school, receiving referrals from the Vision classroom teacher and Mental Health Worker, as well as other liasons within the academic setting. You will be responsible for providing classroom support, individual and family support, group work, social skills, case management, and mental health services to students and their families in EBD special education settings, who have been identified as having significant mental health needs that impact their functioning at home, at school, and/or in the community. Location: Kennedy High School, Bloomington, MN (Grades 9-12) This is a full time position during the school year. For 10 weeks during the summer, it is 10 hours per week, based on client needs. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Maintain a caseload of 6-10 students, as determined by Bloomington schools Provide group therapeutic experiences and social skills groups to students 2-4 times per week Provide individual classroom support to the students, EBD teachers, and paraprofessionals daily. Classroom support includes support of the student's treatment plan, IEP, and BIP in the classroom setting Provide monthly in-home contact with each family at least twice per month 1. Provide individual services to caseload of 6-10 clients weekly Complete intake, diagnostic assessment, and treatment planning. Complete CASII to determine level of functioning Develop a treatment plan with the client's support team. Includes treatment goals, IEP goals, and Family Goals, based on the Circle of Courage Coordinate with school staff to fit client goals with educational plan Meet with student to determine functioning and work with them on goals Coordinate with family to include family goals and include them as part of the treatment "team" Ensure that treatmetn plan is culturally sensitive and respects family values Review, assess, and monitor implementation of treatment plan 2. Be available to provide therapeutic support to students in the classroom Provide "staff consult" time at least 3 hours per week to schools staff in the classroom and/or the "host" building Develop and maintain strong working relationships with co-located partners Coordinate services with school staff in the classroom and/or the "host" building Participate in school meetings pertaining to mental health - required to attend monthly meeting with teacher, para, and supervisors May also attend IEP meetings, conferences, and other staff meetings Collaborate with EBD teacher and paraprofessionals regarding behavior intervention plans and social skills training. Assist in implementing plan. Assist in monitoring effectiveness Provide crisis intervnetion for clients in the classroom, as appropriate Complete assessment tools. Work with teacher on completing the Teacher SDQ form, monitor school attendance, and monitor level of placement 3. Plan and participate in group sessions and social skills training 2-4 hours per week Prepare group activities and document group participation 4. Provide contact, support, and resource referral to families Family and parenting therapeutic interventions Assist the client/family in building community and family support systems Crisis Intervention Planning and support Meet with families in their homes. Must be willing to be available two evenings per week Assist families in completing Parent SDQ and scoring 5. General Program Duties Maintain licensure as required by individual Boards (as applicable) Participate in individual and group suprervisions four hours per month Provide mentoring to interns and new staff
