It will be held in the ŠÚV-School of Applied Arts in Ružomberok from July, 1st to 7th 2013. The aim of this training is to exchange techniques and European savoir-faire to stimulate the creativity of production linked to the wood. The wood in Slovakia as well as in other countries with forests is admit-tedly the most widely used material to cover basic, artistic and spiritual needs of people. The urge to create, to reshape the wood to make it express the artist´s ideas and feelings comes from the ancient times and persists with the same intensity till today. Hardness and plasticity, durability and finiteness, grandeur and simplicity – these are the attributes that make wood exciting and attractive for craftsmen and designers.
