fragante (/translate/fragante)

Just type "ir" into the translate section and then look for the future tense.

Another constrction you will hear a lot is "ir a...". For example, I will go... Is "voy a...", he will go is "va a...", we will go is "vamos a", etc. This is used mainly for near term actions.

I agree...this is the most common way of saying this. - --Mariana-(//www.spanishdict.com/users/77481/--Mariana--) Apr 21, 2012 That is more common, but it translates as "I am going to go." or "He is going to go" etc. prometidodef (//www.spanishdict.com/users/790051/prometidodefernanda) Apr 21, 2012

Usually the sentiment is expressed with Ir + a + infinative regardless of literal translation but you can use the future tense in this way: Irás al escuela. You will go to school. (whether you want to or not) Comerás las verduras. You will eat those vegetables. etc.

From what I´ve understood, kenwilliams, it´s the opposite. I could be wrong, but I was taught this:
View all articles (/guide)
Iré - I will go./ I´ll go. Irá - He will go. (/users/263602/slkey) Voy a ir - I´m going to go. Va a ir - He is going to go.

For me it´s always been that the first conjugations don´t express as much certainty as the second ones. If someone asks you in English, ¨Hey, you coming to the movies tonight?¨ and your answer is ¨Yeah, I´ll go¨ that´s ¨Iré¨. If your answer is ¨Yeah I´m going.¨ it´s ¨Voy a ir¨. Apr 21, 2012 | link (//www.spanishdict.com/answers/229104/how-do-you-say-i-will-go#a625617) Yes Iré does mean I will go all I am saying is it is common to use Ir+a+infinative to express the sentiment and it is no use comparing it with the English word for word how you would say it you need to learn their phraseoligy, Iré means I will go in a sen - kenwilliams (//www.spanishdict.com/users/94733/kenwilliams) Apr 21, 2012 sense of I will go.(and no one will stop me)etc. - kenwilliams (//www.spanishdict.com/users/94733/kenwilliams) Apr 21, 2012

Thanks everyone, I just find it difficult in determining if you use voy + ir or the future tense iré. I think I will stick with voy a ir
