Highlights from Idaho Day 2017 2017 was another great year for celebrating Idaho! Thank you to everyone who participated. The theme for this year was "Idaho the Beautiful" with opportunities to share your favorite part of Idaho with #myidaho, #idablue, and #beautifulidaho. Across the state: Eastern Idaho put together a big celebration (details coming soon) The Marshall Public Library in Pocatello, Idaho hosted a special discussion of the book "The Enders Hotel" by Brandon Schrand on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 3:00 pm. And the Boise School District held numerous events which can be seen here. In the Idaho Statehouse, both the Senate and House Chambers recognized Idaho Day with special programs. In the Central Rotunda the public enjoyed a program hosted by David Langhorst, Director of Idaho State Parks & Recreation, with: a Idaho Day 2017 Proclamation reading by Idaho State Controller, Brandon D. Woolf, which you can see here. a keynote address on the importance of partnerships between national and stateparks to enhance the visitor experience from Wade Vagias, Superintendent of the Craters of the Moon National Monument and Preserve and performances by Longfellow Elementary, Kelsey Rowles from the Boise Rock School, and Boise Highlanders.
