Golf Cart Batteries for '83fc
1 current interstate 6V deepcycle U2200 battery died, after 5 years. I Will replace all 4! I am looking at USA 6V deep cycle golf cart batteries as replacements VS. going back with the Interstate U2200. Any experience or comments on USA batteries or golf cart batteries, in general will be welcome. __________________ George Bush WL'83fc31' Warsaw, VA

Golf Cart Batteries
I have used Deka in one of my carts, They only lasted two years. I have used trojan T-145's in two of my carts . I get 5 years with no problem out of the trojan's. Les __________________

George, IMHO, the longevity and satisfaction that you have with your batteries has more to do with having a good 3-stage charger than picking a specific brand or type. I've been running Eveready Golf Cart batteries in my coach for 3 years, using the same 6 six volt bank of cells for starting and boondocking- and we do a TON of boondocking. On average, I use the genny 200 hours per year. They came from Sam's Club and cost around $65 each. I charge them with a Xantrex 3-stage ProSine charger/inverter and have a watering system that keeps the cells topped off with distilled water. They have never gassed, gotten crusty or given me any problems whatsoever- mainly due to the correct charging setup. We'd love to see you at Maxton next weekend! Any interest in following us down I-95 on Thursday? __________________ Shane Fedeli 85PT40 Hershey, PA “Of all losses, time is the most irrecuperable for it can never be redeemed”

Shane, We are planning on stopping near Washington on Wednesday night, and heading down 95 to Maxton on Thursday. What is your timetable? P.S. It will be the maiden voyage for the new dump system plumbing, so you might want to be in front of us. __________________

Please go through DC and leave them a present!!! I can give you a great route right through the middle of town, as I used to run it weekly. __________________ John 96 WTOS 42' OKC USA!
don't waste your time with a usa-spec ipod adapter- poor products with poor support

Thanks for the input on batteries for our 83fc. Shane, I agree on the importance of the charger and water. Sorry we can't go to Maxton, as we are trying to rent our house for the summer. No rental means the bird sits still....not an option for us ! __________________ George Bush WL'83fc31' Warsaw, VA
