Emission Free Air Travel By 2035 On 21st September, 2020 European Aerospace company broadcasted that its first zero emission (no greenhouse gasses like carbon dioxide) flight would take off by 2035. Zero emission are more widely called ZEROe. Cubs, you would be wondering if the flight will not run on non-renewable energy like the jet fuel (light petroleum) then what would it use? ‘Hydrogen’ is what the experts are banking on. When hydrogen is burned it leaves water vapour as residue and not other harmful gasses like carbon dioxide etc. Guillaume Faury, Aerospace’s CEO termed this affair would be a “historic moment” for commercial aviation sector (aviation refers to aircraft industry). The company has fabricated three different aircrafts which has different capacity in terms of passenger it would carry and distance it would travel. The foremost design is rather similar to the contemporary aircrafts but would be with lengthier and more flexible wings. It is projected to carry about 120 to 200 passengers with approximately 2,000 nautical miles. The subsequent design is more like a turboprop plane with six bladed propellers with a projected capacity of 100 passengers and would cover about 1,000 nautical miles. The third base design is more space-age with a “blended-wing body”, that would allow 2,000 passengers for about 2,000 nautical miles. Aren’t the above ZEROe aircrafts like the real game changer in order to combat our battle against increasing harmful greenhouse gases! Cubs, to meet the goal of 2035 the company will have to unveil the ZEROe aircraft program by latest of 2025 and an aircraft is anticipated to test run by late 2020s. The aviation industry sure will witness transformation after the success of these hydrogen propelled aircrafts!
