A. Tujuan Pembelajaran : Pada akhir pembelajaran siswa diharapkan: 1. Siswa dapat menemukan Gagasan umum dalam teks, 2. Siswa dapat menemukan Informasi rinci dalam teks, 3. Siswa dapat menemukan Makna kata tertentu dalam teks, 4. Siswa dapat membaca nyaring teks fungsional pendek, dan 5. Siswa mampu mengidentifikasi berbagai informasi dalam teks. B. Materi Pembelajaran : Teks monolog pendek Cell Phone 1. Kosa kata yang berhubungan dengan teks Cell Phone 2. Conjunction 3. Imperative sentence Read the following text carefully to answer the questions below! Cell phone is a modern communication device which connects one to the others by voice, written message and data. However this device can not work until the SIM card is inserted. When inserting the SIM Card to cell phone, make sure that the cell phone has been switched off and follow the direction bellow: First of all, press the locking catch and slide the cover then lift it off the phone. After that, push two catches in the opposite directions and remove the battery. Next, slide the SIM card carefully into the slot and make sure that the golden connect arson are facing to the connector of the phone. Then, put the battery and align it until snaps into its place. Finally, insert the two catches of the back cover corresponding slot in the phone and slide the cover forward button of the phone until locks into place. Don’t forget to switch on the cell phone. Wait until it is ready to use. C. Metode / teknik : Three phase technique D. Langkah-langkah Kegiatan: Kegiatan awal: Guru bertanya tentang hal-hal yang berkaitan dengan cara-cara menjadi sukses dan berbagai macam teks : - How do you know about for getting success? - What do you know about text types? Kegiatan Inti: v Guru meminta siswa untuk menjawab berbagai pertanyaan tentang Cell Phone v Guru menjelaskan materi tentang procedure text v Guru meminta siswa menentukan makna kata dan menggunakannya dalam kalimat yang berkaitan dengan Cell Phone v Guru meminta siswa untuk membuat kelompok yang terdiri dari 3 orang v Siswa membaca nyaring text Cell Phone v Siswa menjawab pertanyaan berdasarkan text Cell Phone untuk menemukan gagasan utama, informasi rinci, makna kata, dan tujuan komunikatif vSiswa menemukan struktur kalimat yang digunakan dalam procedure text vSiswa menemukan fitur-fitur bahasa dalam teks Cell Phone Kegiatan Penutup: v Siswa menanyakan kesulitan yang dihadapi selama proses pembelajaran. v Guru memberikan post-test v Guru menyimpulkan materi yang baru dipelajari v Memberi penugasan di rumah untuk membuat procedure text E. What is Descriptive Text? The Definition Descriptive text is a text which says what a person or a thing is like. Purpose Its purpose is to describe and reveal a particular person, place, or thing. The Generic Structure; Descriptive text has structure as below: · Identification; identifying the phenomenon to be described. · Description; describing the phenomenon in parts, qualities, or/and characteristics. The Sea Eagle There is an eagle nesting on the tree top near my grandparent’s house in Pangandaran. It was a sea eagle. The color of its feathers is light brown. It has a strong and sharp yellowish beak.Its claws are very sharp. It hunts for fish in the sea but sometimes it hunts chickens and small birds. Eagles have many sizes, shapes, and colors, but the sea eagle is easy to recognise because it has a strong a streamlined, sharp beak and a streamline body. Its forelimbs (or arms) serve as wings. This means that they are of little use for anything except fying. It walks on two legs and has a very flexible neck and strong beak to handle foods, to care for its feathers,and for many other jobs that non-flying animals do with paws, claws, or hands on their forelimbs.

Is it easy or hard to do? 4. What do the forelimbs of an sea eagle do? 5. What are the sea eagle’s neck and beak like? Activity 2 Now you make the Description about animals that you know. Then, you have to read about what you made in front of the class.
